WELCOME!

OLD FRIENDS, NEW TRAILS…

We were formerly “Brighton Riding Stable”, but the new year brings a new location and new name. In spite of “hell and high water”, your favorite horses and friendly staff have made the move to new ground! We are grateful to Hell Creek Ranch for hosting our Highwater Corral, and look forward to new memories and happy trails.

We warmly invite new guests and our faithful friends and regulars to head on out and ride with us!

GRAB YOUR HANDBASKETS…

You’re headin’ for Hell! – But don’t forget your jeans and boots! Get ready to saddle up and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pinckney Recreation Area on one of our guided trail rides!

Indulge in the fresh air and quietude of a horseback ride through one thousand acres of beautiful Michigan woodlands and wildlife. Experience some time without high-tech during one of our rides which range from 45 to 90 minutes. Hand-led pony (or horse) rides are also available for the wee cowpokes in your family.

"The greatest beauty on earth is found
in the hearts of those who love."

RAIN OR SHINE…

We are open mid-April through mid-November, weather permitting. Generally, our rides are offered seven days a week between Memorial Weekend and Labor Day. Weekend rides are available during our “off-season” in April, May, September, October, and November. Hours will vary with the seasons, and other days are likely to be opened up as long as the weather is good. We reserve the right to cancel rides due to poor trail or weather conditions. Please call us for current scheduled days and times.

We strongly encourage reservations and a weight limit of 240 pounds applies. For specific information about each of our rides or activities, click on the appropriate button at the top of the page. To schedule a trail ride, please call us at 734-954-0500.

MAKE A DAY (OR MORE) OF IT…

Horseback riding, swimming, fishing, canoeing, camping, ice cream…fit it ALL in! Hell is a pretty cool place!

Highwater Corral handles the horseback riding, Hell Creek Ranch will provide your swimming, fishing, and camping fun, and downtown Hell will warm your tummies and tempt you with “melt-in-your-mouth” ice cream. If that’s not enough, experience the hiking, mountain biking, lake swimming, boating, fishing, canoeing, metal detecting, and explorer programs of the Pinckney Recreation Area!

No Michigan State Park motor vehicle permits are required to stay with us at either the Highwater Corral or Hell Creek Ranch. Permits are required at State Park facilities.
